Title IX is a federal civil rights law that's intended in part to prevent and address campus sexual misconduct. Title IX can encompass various forms of sexual misconduct, sexual harassment, sexual assault, nonconsensual sex, inappropriate touching. Title IX in the campus setting is involved in various capacities, but Title IX sexual misconduct are the cases where, say, a student is accused by another for committing, say, some kind of sexual offense, and Title IX, which is the overarching policy, which is a further detailed by the school or a school would have his own policies also in addition to Title IX, although Title IX is the overarching policy in terms of addressing and adjudicating these cases.
