If I was notified I am being charged for violating a university's conduct code, should I speak with law enforcement?

The student, if they're notified that they're subject to a conduct investigation at their college or university, whether it involves, say Title IX sexual misconduct or even say a general disciplinary issue, they should not speak to law enforcement. They should not even speak to the school. They should let their parents know steps need to be taken, necessary precautions need to be taken because so much is at stake. When you speak to law enforcement, it is like you see on TV what you say can be used against you in a court of law. An experienced attorney advisor needs to be involved in the process from as early as possible. They can help navigate the process and protect your rights.
