If, during a point in time, during a Title IX case, a school finds a student responsible, or a student is found responsible for sexually assaulting another student, the school can definitely suspend or expel that student. People often have a mistaken impression in terms of what the potential consequences of a Title IX can be. At a minimum, schools regularly impose suspensions and, at times, expulsions, depending on what the nature of the offense would be.

Non-consensual sex, whatever the circumstances may be, 99 out of 100 times will result in expulsion. Digital penetration of any kind will result in, more likely than not, suspension at a minimum. There can be aggravating circumstances or mitigating circumstances, but in many instances, depending on the nature of the offense, a suspension or expulsion is commonplace, unfortunately.
