Appeals
Nursing students may appeal disciplinary actions by requesting that the Dean of the School of Nursing review their case. To do so, they must send a written request within five days of receiving notice of the sanctions. When this happens, the Dean may call for an Appeal Hearing. The panel members review the case details, question witnesses and any person relevant to the matter, and hear the accused student's statement. Once the process ends, the panel members deliberate and make a recommendation, which they send to the Dean. The Dean of the School of Nursing has the final say on the matter, and students may not re-appeal after making a decision.
